Virgo Health announces new senior promotions

Virgo Health has strengthened its senior team with a series of internal promotions that will aid its strategic growth plans.

Katherine Mantell has been named as the agency's new global head of medical education, leading a team of 40 across the firm's Richmond and New York offices. The team works with clients such as Takeda, Eisai, Boehringer Ingelheim and Novartis.

Ms Mantell joined Virgo in 2010 and previously held the position of director of global scientific services. She can boast more than 15 years of experience working in medical education.

Sarah Matthew, joint chief executive officer of Virgo Health, said: "Underpinned by our new 'Health with a Human Touch' proposition and with Katherine's leadership, we have even bigger aspirations to evolve the way in which medical education is delivered and consumed in the year ahead."

Coinciding with this appointments, Patricia Jones has also been promoted to client services director, while Jenny Szkolar has taken on the role of associate editorial director. Both will be working alongside Ms Mantell.

Finally, Derek Annan has been named business development account director.
