W Cheeseman & Son and Andrews Pharmacy have delivered over 30,000 COVID-19 vaccinations each

W Cheeseman & Son, Bedfordshire and Andrews Pharmacy, Macclesfield, have delivered over thirty thousand COVID-19 vaccinations each.

Overall, community pharmacy-led COVID-19 vaccination sites throughout England have administered over three million jabs of the vaccine.

Director of NHS services, Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee, Alastair Buxton, stated: “We already know what amazing outcomes pharmacy teams can accomplish, but it has been great to hear that colleagues from the NHS have been blown away by the ability of community pharmacies to competently deliver the service to a large volume of patients, whilst also overcoming the operational challenges that are inevitable in such a programme.”
