Waggener Edstrom to carry out midwife survey for Tommy’s

5th November 2014

Waggener Edstrom has agreed to carry out a survey of UK midwives on behalf of baby charity Tommy's on a pro bono basis.

The work will involve speaking to around 30,000 midwives across the country to find out what support and information they provide to expectant parents, thus helping Tommy's to enhance its own services, while raising awareness of the charity's work, reports PRWeek.

Tommy's is dedicated to funding research into the causes and prevention of miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth. It operates research centres in London, Manchester and Edinburgh.

Waggener Edstrom's healthcare and insights and analytics teams will lead the campaign, with the agreement coming as part of its efforts to support the wider community.

Anna Gray, vice-president at Waggener Edstrom, said: "We have a solid corporate citizenship strategy. The team working with Tommy's has agreed, under our Make-A-Difference scheme, to provide highly skilled pro bono work."

The agency is one of the world's most prominent comms firms and has experience of working with healthcare brands such as Pfizer, Abbott, Shire and GE Healthcare.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801758565-ADNFCR
