Waters corporation presents over web

The Waters Corporation’s presentation at the 2008 Citi Investment Research Global Health Care Conference was broadcast live via webcam this week.

John Ornell, the firm’s chief financial officer, addressed the investment community at the event that was held at New York’s Hilton hotel on Wednesday (May 22nd).

Mr Ornell also spoke at the Baird 2008 Growth Stock Conference at Chicago’s Four Season Hotel last Thursday.

The company claims to create business advantage for laboratory-dependent organisations through the deliverance of practical and sustainable innovation to enable advancements in areas such as healthcare delivery, environmental management and water quality worldwide.

Its overall revenue in 2007 reached $1.47 billion and it employs more than 5,000 employees.

Meanwhile, earlier in the year the firm reported its first quarter sales for 2008 showed an increase of 12 per cent for the same period last year, reaching $372 million (£190 million).

Douglas Berthiaume, the firm’s president, chairman and chief executive, said: "Despite challenging economic conditions, our global sales performance in combination with improvements in operational efficiency delivered impressive earnings growth and strong cash generation."
