Waters launches advanced new Acquity UPLC I-Class/Xevo TQ-S micro System
Waters has announced the launch of its newest liquid chromatography (LC)/mass spectrometry (MS) innovation, the Acquity UPLC I-Class IVD/Xevo TQ-S micro IVD System.
Launching in the US and Europe, the system has been developed for use in clinical laboratories for the analysis of compounds that include diagnostic indicators in lab-developed tests.
It combines UltraPerformance LC technology with a benchtop tandem-quadrupole mass spectrometer to provide the highest acquisition rates in UPLC-MS/MS quantitative analysis.
Meanwhile, its Xccelerated Ion Transfer electronics and SpaceWire technology allow the instrument to acquire data at high speeds without compromising performance, while its tried-and-tested StepWave ion optics enhance sensitivity further.
Jeff Mazzeo, senior director for health sciences at Waters, said: "We are pleased to announce that the Acquity UPLC I-Class IVD/Xevo TQ-S micro IVD System joins the family of Waters LC-MS in vitro diagnostic medical devices."
This comes after the firm also recently introduced a new 24-sample option for its GlycoWorks RapiFluor-MS N-Glycan Kit.
