Waters reports further growth in third quarter of 2015
Waters has announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2015, during which it achieved a three-month sales total of $501 million (326.51 million pounds).
This represented a year-on-year increase of two percent, with foreign currency translation reducing sales growth by approximately seven. On a GAAP basis, earnings per diluted share for the third quarter rose to $1.40 from $1.34 for Q3 2014.
For the first nine months of 2015, Waters' sales came to $1.46 billion, up four percent compared with sales of $1.41 billion in the first three quarters of 2014.
This was attributed to continued broad-based momentum in its life science end markets and solid performance in the industrial and applied sectors.
Christopher O'Connell, president and chief executive officer of Waters, said: "Our year-to-date performance demonstrates Waters' ability to turn industry-leading technology and customer support into strong and consistent financial results."
Mr O'Connell became the company's chief executive last month, joining the firm from Medtronic as the successor to the retiring Douglas Berthiaume.
