Waters unveils new mass spectrometry innovations at ASMS 2014
Waters has introduced several new mass spectrometry devices and innovations at this year's American Society of Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) annual conference.
The new Xevo G2-XS mass spectrometer, a high-performance benchtop quadrupole time-of-flight device, was unveiled for the first time at the event, as well as the compact benchtop tandem quadrupole system Xevo TQ-S micro.
It also expanded the availability of its ionKey/MS software system, which was launched in March 2014, and is now available on the SYNAPT G2-S, SYNAPT G2-Si and Xevo G2-S QTof devices, as well as the newly introduced Xevo G2-XS.
Finally, Waters took the opportunity to introduce Progenesis QI for proteomics Version 2.0, its latest proteomics data analysis software, as well as announcing an agreement that gives it exclusive rights to Prosolia's DESI technology for applications alongside its own time-of-flight mass spectrometers.
This comes after the firm introduced its new Cortecs line of 2.7-micron silica-based, solid-core particle columns for high-performance liquid chromatography applications last month.
