Weber Shandwick retained for Verisign’s global PR account

12th January 2015

Weber Shandwick has once again been selected as the global PR agency partner for Verisign following a recent competitive review.

The web domain name company has chosen to retain its relationship with Weber Shandwick, which first began in 2006, as it seeks to maintain its recent strong growth momentum, reports PRWeek.

Originally hired to help increase the company's branding efforts worldwide, Weber Shandwick's partnership with Verisign has helped the client go from strength to strength. It now employs around 1,100 people worldwide and exceeded analysts' forecasts with its financial performance in the third quarter of 2014.

Verisign also works with Text100 on European PR activities, having hired the agency for this purpose in 2012.

Weber Shandwick's chief executive officer Andy Polansky said: "We look forward to continuing our relationship and helping Verisign tell the story about the value of getting online with .com and .net on a global level."

This comes after the agency appointed Adam Clyne as head of its growing digital and social media business last week, a role that will see him based at its London office.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801769678-ADNFCR
