Welch Allyn launches updated CardioPerfect Workstation software

31st August 2011

Welch Allyn has announced the launch of the latest version of its CardioPerfect Workstation software, which offers more features and improved functionality.

Version 1.6.4 of the electronic health record-ready software includes new additions such as simplified and enhanced spirometry testing functions and an enterprise-class configuration management feature.

It also offers digital storage and a more efficient means of reviewing diagnostic test data from a variety of different electronic devices, while offering compatibility with 64-bit Windows operating systems.

This new device has been launched in response to growing uptake of electronic health record technology, as well as the rising prevalence of thin-client environments in medical practices.

Frits Kroon, global director for the cardiopulmonary category at Welch Allyn, said: "The enhanced quality feedback for spirometry will allow healthcare professionals to more easily perform spirometry tests, especially on younger patients."

Earlier this month, the company announced that it will be introducing new product compatibility between its devices and Pelstar's Health o meter professional scales.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800714837-ADNFCR
