Welch Allyn named vendor of the year by Henry Schein

Welch Allyn has been presented with the title of medical equipment vendor of the year from fellow healthcare organisation Henry Schein.

The firm has been identified as the supplier of medical technology that has provided Henry Schein with the highest quality of support, service and assistance over the last 12 months.

It was selected for the accolade following polls and surveys conducted among Henry Schein's sales consultants, with the prize being presented to Welch Allyn at a recent Henry Schein Medical sales meeting in the US.

John Tierney, senior vice-president at Welch Allyn, said this is testament to the teamwork between the two companies, both at an employee and a corporate level.

"We're proud to consider them partners of ours and we look forward to working with them for many years to come," he said.

Last week, Welch Allyn announced plans to transfer control of its subsidiary Blue Highway to Syracuse University, in order to help it to expand its research remit.
