Wireless Trios 3Shape ‘offers fast scanning capabilities’

The new Trios 3Shape intraoral wireless scanning tool has been shown to offer fast and effective scanning capabilities for use in dental surgeries.

Able to connect wirelessly to laptops, PC and the Trios cart, the device has been developed to make the process of patient scanning as simple as possible for the user, Dentistry.co.uk reports.

It features a long-lasting battery for extended use in surgeries and delivers real-time image updates that can be downloaded directly to the user's connected devices.

The Trios 3Shape creates a 3D image of the patient's jaw and teeth, ensuring dental practitioners can develop a better understanding of the structures in situ in the patient's mouth, which can then be reviewed again at a later date.

It also features on-device touch-sensitive controls, to ensure the operator has no need to flick between controls on their PC or laptop when scanning a patient.
