Woodley Equipment launches new testing and sample preparation products

Woodley Equipment has announced the launch of a pair of new products for use by veterinary practices in testing and sample preparation.

The first new offering is the Clinispin Multi Purpose Centrifuge, a high-speed centrifuge equipped with a maintenance-free drive, digital display and simplified interface for silent and efficient operation.

It is supplied with two rotors to provide efficient separation of blood and urine micro samples and accurate haematocrit determination using capillary tubes. The device offers a low-cost alternative to the older QBC Autoread and StatSpin centrifuges.

Additionally, Woodley has launched its new InSight HCT meter, a cost-effective solution for the measurement of canine and feline haematocrit and total haemoglobin in capillary and venous whole blood.

It utilises optical reflectance for determination of haematocrit and total haemoglobin levels, providing results in just 30 seconds. Woodley has calibrated the device specifically for use in cats and dogs.

The company said it has released these products to meet "the need for veterinary practices to have cost effective in-house testing and sample preparation capabilities".
