Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the launch of two new UV-Vis microvolume spectrophotometers for use in sample quality applications.

The Thermo Scientific NanoDrop One and NanoDrop One C spectrophotometers are designed to help researchers gain a more complete understanding of sample quality, while avoiding costly delays caused by troubleshooting and repeated experiments.

With the use of Acclaro Sample Intelligence technology, scientists can identify sample contaminants and obtain corrected concentration results, receive instant feedback on sample quality and measure samples with embedded sensor and digital image analysis.

The instrument features a high-resolution touchscreen interface that makes it simple to use, while its powerful auto-range pathlength technology facilitates accurate measurements for concentrated samples, with no need for dilutions.

Dr Voula Kodoyianni, product manager for molecular spectroscopy at Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: "Building on the success of previous NanoDrop instruments, used by thousands of scientists worldwide, we have designed the NanoDrop One instrument to provide simplicity and speed as well as information on sample quality."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801802988-ADNFCR
