Zeno Group wins global account with Lenovo

1st November 2017

Zeno Group has been handed a new global agency of record account worth $6 million (4.51 million) by the technology firm Lenovo.

This follows a review carried out by Lenovo to consolidate its agency relationships across global corporate and business units – including the Motorola brand – into a single worldwide account, reports PRWeek.

Zeno was able to secure the brief ahead of competing pitches from Weber Shandwick, WE Communications and an Omnicom team including Porter Novelli and Ketchum staffers in the final leg of the process.

Text100, the incumbent agency, exempted itself from the bidding last month, although the agency will continue to support Lenovo in key markets.

Torod Neptune, chief communications officer at Lenovo, told PRWeek that Zeno Group will "play a critical role in providing strategic leadership and direction to our business and geography teams as we create a compelling Lenovo story that reinforces our global, cross-business unit value proposition to consumers".

He noted that the agency's commitment to diversity in its hiring policies was a key factor in the selection, as it was seeking a partner that mirrored Lenovo's diverse employee and customer base.
