Zoetis launches Versican Plus canine vaccines

Zoetis has announced the launch of Versican Plus, a new range of canine vaccines that combine the benefits of numerous product types.

The only vaccine to combine DHPPi and L4 in a single injection, the product is the result of several years of innovative research and development, and will be launching in the UK and across Europe.

Versican Plus is the first tetravalent leptospirosis vaccine to deliver prevention against clinical signs and urinary excretion of established and emerging canine leptospirosis, while utilising a new CPV-2b strain to prevent clinical signs, leucopoenia and viral excretion caused by parvovirus.

It has been proven to be protective against viral infections in the presence of maternally-derived antibodies to parvovirus, distemper and adenovirus at levels equal or higher to those likely to be encountered under field conditions.

Ned Flaxman, Zoetis UK companion animal director, said: "As well as offering comprehensive protection in accordance with the current epidemiological situation, the vaccine is also convenient to use. It offers a flexible primary vaccination course with an early finish option from nine weeks."
