Zoetis restocks UK supplies of PropoFlo Plus

Zoetis has announced that PropoFlo Plus, its anaesthetic injection product for dogs and cats, is now back in stock in the UK.

Following a huge surge in demand prompted by supply issues on a competing version of propofol, the anaesthetic was briefly out of stock, but the company has responded by ramping up production in order to return it to the market as quickly as possible.

Ned Flaxman, companion animal business unit director at Zoetis, said: "I am pleased to confirm that we now have sufficient stocks to supply the entire UK veterinary market for the foreseeable future."

PropoFlo Plus is an anaesthetic injection for the induction and maintenance of general anaesthesia for up to 20 minutes. It is used for dental treatment, biopsies, radiographs, mass removals and endoscopy.

It is one of a wide range of products offered by Zoetis in the UK. The company sells its products in more than 120 countries worldwide, with approximately 10,000 people employed globally.
