Zoetis UK’s Synulox LC has been issued with a product defect recall

An immediate product recall for Zoetis UK’s Synulox Lactating Cow (LC) Intramammary Suspension has been issued due to flaws, and as a result the animal health company is reaching out to vet surgeons and wholesalers so that they can analyse the inventory forthwith and quarantine goods if needed.

The Veterinary Medicines Directorate, stated: “Following a recent good manufacturing practice inspection of one of the active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturers for Synulox LC, a statement of noncompliance with GMP has been issued. As a precaution, batches of this product containing API that is impacted by this noncompliance statement are being recalled from the market with immediate effect to the end user level.”
