Behind the Scenes: The Making of ‘ZENGUIN’

The Zenopa winter candidate campaign is a heritage project that has been running since way before I joined Zenopa. However, ‘Zenguin’ is the first year we have created a character to lead our message, adding a human touch to help viewers build an emotional connection to our core message, and enhancing the brand storytelling.

The winter campaigns are a creative way for us to interact with various segments of our candidate base; this year we chose to focus on articulating Zenopa’s ‘culture focus’. We know a lot of people across the Healthcare industry start to think about a job move during the festive period and into the New Year, so we decided to use the ‘Story of Zenguin’ to visualise the job match process in a fun and festive theme.

While the ‘Zenguin’ character was born in a lightbulb moment one day, from there the project took a few weeks to move from simple PowerPoint storyboard to a professionally executed video. After a skills assessment we felt it was best placed to outsource the final video creation, and once finalised we shared this across a number of our marketing channels. You may have seen ‘Zenguin’ on our LinkedIn, had a Christmas card come in the post, or received one of our ‘Zenguin New Years Call’ emails in your inbox.

We were glad to have received positive feedback from our candidates and colleagues as a result of the campaign! We plan to continue Zenguin’s career journey in future campaigns!
