Business Development Manager
Role Overview
This is a dual-function position offering exposure to both high-volume core laboratory equipment sales and complex, high-value capital projects.

Zenopa have partnered with a UK-based company specialising in laboratory equipment and sample storage solutions. They supply a range of temperature-controlled systems, cryogenic and ultra-cold storage, and general lab equipment, backed by technical support and expert advice. The business places importance on quality, responsiveness, and helping customers select the right solutions for their needs.
Role Requirements
Develop and grow a Northern UK sales territory covering cold storage and laboratory equipment.
Build long-term relationships with customers across academia, biotech, pharma and healthcare.
Identify new business opportunities and expand into emerging market segments.
Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to close.
Act as the UK product specialist for automated cryogenic storage systems.
Support complex, multi-site and high-value automation projects across the UK.
Work closely with technical, engineering and supplier teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Full product training will be provided, including international manufacturer training.
Person Specifications
We are looking for a commercially driven sales professional with a strong technical mindset.
You are likely to have:
Experience selling laboratory equipment, life science solutions or technical capital equipment.
Exposure to cold storage, cryogenics, automation or complex engineered systems.
A proven ability to develop new business and manage a sales territory.
Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
The confidence to work on both standard equipment sales and long-term project opportunities.
A proactive, organised and self-motivated approach.
