Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
You will work from home and travel to customer sites across the East of England region (Cambridge, Stevenage, Milton Keynes area) to carry out maintenance, calibration, and repairs on environmental test chambers and stability rooms. The role involves working on refrigeration, electrical, and humidity systems across a variety of customer environments – from laboratories and cleanrooms to automotive and aerospace facilities. Most work will be within a 1.5-2 hour radius from home, with occasional overnight stays and training trips. You will report to the Regional Team Leader and receive full training and ongoing technical support..

Role Requirements
Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, validation, and requalification of refrigeration, electrical, and humidity systems.
Diagnose and repair faults, carry out system upgrades, and complete retrofits as required.
Prepare detailed service and calibration reports, providing clear technical feedback to customers and the service team.
Advise customers on equipment condition and offer recommendations to improve reliability and performance.
Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
Represent the company professionally on all customer sites, supporting the Service Manager with timely updates.
Person Specifications
Electrically biased engineer with some mechanical and software knowledge.
FGAS qualification essential.
Ideally holds an electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
Experience in refrigeration systems – industrial, supermarket, or life sciences background preferred.
Knowledge of electronic controls, PLCs, or environmental chambers is advantageous.
Able to work independently with strong attention to detail and customer focus.
Full UK driving licence required.
