Field Service Technician
Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Field Service Technician to join its growing UK service team, supporting customers across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare and research sectors.
This is a highly varied role combining installation, calibration, validation, maintenance and troubleshooting of environmental monitoring systems and scientific equipment used within regulated environments. Engineers will work directly with customers to ensure systems are installed, maintained and operating in accordance with industry standards.
No two weeks are the same. Engineers can expect a mixture of planned installations, preventative maintenance, validation work and reactive service activities across customer sites throughout the UK.

Zenopa are partnered with a leading provider of environmental monitoring solutions used within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare and research environments. Their systems play a critical role in protecting temperature-sensitive products, research samples and regulated processes across some of the UK’s most demanding scientific facilities.
Due to continued growth and internal team changes, they are looking to appoint a Field Service Technician to support customers throughout the UK.
Role Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform calibration, preventative maintenance and repair activities.
· Troubleshoot electrical, electronic and networking-related issues.
· Support customers with system operation and provide training where required.
· Maintain high levels of customer service and professionalism whilst on-site.
· Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.

· Environmental monitoring systems
· Temperature monitoring systems
· Cryogenic storage monitoring systems
· Incubators
· Water baths
· Freezers and cold storage equipment
· Room monitoring systems
· Wireless monitoring and sensor technologies
This position involves regular UK-wide travel and overnight stays, supporting customers across pharmaceutical manufacturing, life science research and healthcare facilities.
Person Specifications
We are interested in speaking with engineers from a variety of technical backgrounds who possess strong fault-finding skills and enjoy working directly with customers
Essential:
· Electrical or electro-mechanical engineering experience.
· Experience installing, servicing or maintaining technical equipment.
· Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
· Comfortable working independently in the field.
· Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities.
· Full UK driving licence.
· Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK, including overnight stays.
Desirable:
· Scientific, laboratory or medical device equipment experience.
· Refrigeration, environmental monitoring or temperature control experience.
· Networking, wireless systems or sensor technology knowledge.
· Experience working within pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare environments.
Package
· Base salary up to £45k
· Accrued bonus dependent on how many nights an engineer stays away from home + company bonus
· Just been implemented – i.e. quarterly performance £500 per quarter – £2,000 per annum
· Hotel bonus – £250 to £1500 per quarter
· Company reimbursement for phone
· Company laptop
· Pension Scheme
· All business travel expenses covered (Mileage allowance), NO COMPANY VEHICLE
· Voluntary on call
