Inside Sales Representative
Role Overview
This role is an Inside Sales specialist supporting the Biotage Oligonucleotide sales team. You’ll work in a team in collaboration with field sales, customer service and marketing in order to achieve company goals for the EMEA region.
This position will be based in Oxford, Cardiff or Southampton where our offices are located. There will be a limited amount of business travel in order to attend company meetings and larger trade shows. This position can be a hybrid office/home working role as well as part time if required, so they’re open in terms of location!

We’re working with a Global Impact Tech Company committed to solving society’s problems. They offer workflow solutions and products to customers in Drug Discovery and Development, Analytical, Water and Environmental Testing.
Due to the successful growth of their Oligonucleotide business, they’re is looking to hire an Inside Sales Specialist to further support the field based sales team. Specialises in the synthesis of high-quality modified oligonucleotides, with labs in Southampton and Oxford. We supply oligonucleotides for a wide range of applications in both academic and commercial research. For many of their customers, the quality of the oligos they provide is a key factor in the success of their projects and close collaboration between internal and external stakeholders is an important aspect of this commercial role.
Role Requirements
Tasks and Responsibilities:
– Following up on leads generated by inbound marketing and field sales team
– Use of social media to carry out market research and to initiate contact with new customers
– Work with the field sales team to build long-term strategic relationships with a range of customers
– Work with and maintain CRM management data system (SalesForce) Plan and record all relevant interactions and opportunities
– Use all available resources to ensure customer satisfaction
– Constant improvement of sales processes
– Support organisation of tradeshows and other commercial events
– Support the wider small molecule therapeutic and diagnostics sales teams
Person Specifications
Qualifications and Training:
– Degree in a life science or chemistry subject
– Experience from Laboratory industry
– Sales Experience
– High degree of customer focus and commercial mind-set
– Fluent English, and another European language is a plus (preferably German, French, or Italian)
– Positive attitude to work and enjoy working in intensive and energetic job environment
– Ability to work in a cross cultural atmosphere
– Manage MS office tools: Excel, Power point, Word, SFDC (plus)

Package
Base salary circa £30,000, with a 10% bonus scheme, 25 days annual leave, contributory pension scheme and PHI!
