Technical Sales Specialist
Role Overview
We are supporting a global laboratory instrumentation manufacturer in the search for a Technical Sales Specialist to manage and grow the UK East territory, including Cambridge, Norfolk, Lincolnshire, Stevenage, Leicester, and Nottingham. The organisation operates with a collaborative, technically focused culture where sales teams work closely with application specialists and service engineers to support laboratory customers effectively. You will lead the sales process across R&D, QC, and production laboratories within pharmaceutical, food, feed, cosmetics, and chemical industries, as well as academic and analytical laboratories.

Role Requirements
Drive sales growth across the assigned territory through structured customer engagement.
Identify and develop new business opportunities across the full product portfolio.
Follow up on marketing-generated leads while independently building a strong sales pipeline.
Deliver technical product presentations and equipment demonstrations to laboratory customers.
Build long-term relationships with customers to support continued business and satisfaction.
Person Specifications
Experience in technical or solution-based sales within laboratory instrumentation, or a technical role with strong commercial exposure.
Proven experience selling laboratory equipment or scientific instrumentation into sectors such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, or research.
Strong understanding of laboratory environments and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Scientific degree (Bachelor’s level or higher) preferred.

Bonus structure: up to £10,000 at 100% target performance, uncapped with higher earning potential.
