Marketing Manager
Role Overview
The Marketing Manager will be an instrumental part of the leadership team, creating and driving the strategic marketing plan as well as leading and motivating the marketing team to deliver on the key objectives and deliverables. The role will require someone who is driven and confident to manage internal stakeholders, both commerical and operational colleagues in the UK team as well as working closely with the European team.
The Marketing Manager is a good opportunity for either an experienced Marketing Manager or a Product Manager with dental or medical experience looking to step up into a more strategic and well rounded role. The role will combine elements of strategic marketing with a need to “get stuck in” and still complete a lot of the product management type work alongside the team. This individual needs to be confident in their objectives and mission and maximise their focus and activity in the UK, prioritising the UK needs and delivering them on a local level.

Zenopa are partnered exclusively with a worldwide leader in regenerative dentistry looking to hire a new Marketing Manager into the UK team. Focusing on the dental biomaterial industry, our client are the established market leader in the UK and promote well established, evidence based brands, for use along side the placement of dental implants. Backed by a global team with a EU head office, the UK business is a smaller, close knit team of dental experts.
Role Requirements
Overall responsibilities:
– Participate in the strategic leadership of UK business via membership of the Leadership Team and through the delivery of marketing objectives for the wider business.
– Manage the Marketing team made up of a Product Manager (Product, event and sales activity focused) and a Marketing Specialist (digital marketing and event planning focused). The role requires 50-60% office based planning and supervision time and 40- 50% external work with sales team & customers / event activity.
– Generate a yearly Marketing plan
– Carry out market research at a qualitative and quantitative level to feed into activities 1 and 2. Understand and adhere to the Marketing and promotional budgets allocated each year.
– Liaise with the International Marketing Department in Europe on international product launches, scientific and congress activity and competitor analysis. Attend 2-3 international (Europe) planning meetings and scientific congresses per year.
– Be able to generate, document and communicate local UK marketing campaigns that identify target customer groups, planned touchpoints and activity and ROI calculations for the proposed campaign.
– Be able to train, motivate and influence the Marketing and Sales teams to deliver planned activity around marketing campaigns. All product and clinical indication training is planned and delivered in conjunction with the Clinical Science and Education Manager. A high level of co-travel with the sales team (4-5 days a month) and leading by example with key customers is also required.
– Plan and deliver key national congresses, workshops and events with the support of the Product Manager and Marketing Specialist.
– Manage and motivate both the Product Manager the Marketing Specialist to help plan and deliver all promotional and sales support activity including
Person Specifications
– Ideally an experienced marketing professional with experience in the Dental industry
– Experience in the Dental market or regenerative biomaterials, or secondary – experience in the medical devices or similar healthcare markets
– ideally experience managing people, mentoring, coaching etc
– proactive and confident dealing with internal stakeholders
– excellent communication skills
– organisational skills to manage time and diary of self and delegate tasks effectively
– happy to get your hands dirty and work with the team to deliver the overall marketing strategy
– able to travel to the Manchester area a couple of times a week and happy to be travelling to exhibitions, training and with sales reps on a national level on occasion
– full UK driving licence
– full rights to work in the UK
