Scotland Pharmacy Development Manager
Role Requirements
Our client is a well-established healthcare business that partners with some of the biggest consumer health brands in the UK.
The business works closely with pharmacy teams, providing training and in-store support to help them confidently recommend and sell leading consumer health products.
You’ll join a stable, well-regarded, field-based team where strong relationships with pharmacy teams are at the heart of the role.
We’re looking for a Pharmacy Development Manager to join the team to cover Scotland.
This is a field-based role, working with pharmacy teams and healthcare assistants across your territory.
You’ll deliver training on new brands, product launches and key updates, while also supporting a small commercial element with independent pharmacies and building on established relationships with key accounts.
We’re looking for someone with experience in pharmacy training, or a salesperson looking to move into a training-focused role.
You’ll ideally have:
– Experience in pharmacy training or in a similar training or education environment.
– Strong listening skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to read a room and respond accordingly.
– The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with pharmacy teams and key accounts.
– Comfort working independently in a field-based role.
– Excellent communication and presentation skills.
– Good organisation and time management, with the ability to plan store visits across a territory.
– Commercial awareness, with the confidence to sell to independent pharmacies.
– A background in education, training or merchandising in a similar industry (e.g. beauty or cosmetics) would also be of interest.
– A graduate, or a pharmacy assistant looking to move into a field-based role, would also be considered.
– Deliver training on new brands, product launches and other relevant updates to pharmacy teams and healthcare assistants.
– Typically make 3-4 store calls per day, depending on the territory, with flexibility as some stores and days are busier than others.
– Complete regular reporting, including tracking how products are performing in-store.
– Work with key accounts such as Boots, protecting and building on well-established relationships.
– Take responsibility for a small commercial element, selling to independent pharmacies.
– Build strong relationships with pharmacy teams across your territory.
– Share feedback and market insight from stores with the wider team.
