Senior Account Manager
Role Overview
Client management
• Thoroughly understands the accounts, client brands, strategy and market environments
• Manages the day-to-day running of accounts
• Ensures regular client update and manages any changes to planned activities
• Ensures materials produced on time and on budget, with all quality standards met
• Ensures projects are planned and resourced appropriately, and manages workflow
Project management
• Prepares realistic schedules for approval, and checks day-to-day progress of these
• Provides clear and accurate briefings to all personnel tasked with project
• Proactively alerts manager on any issues and recommends solutions and strategies
• Manages and motivates junior staff, proactively providing ‘on the job’ training
Communication
• Writes comprehensive briefs which are thought through and appropriate
• Assists Account Directors with writing proposals and project plans
• Manages weekly situation reports and the completion of contact reports
• Demonstrates innovation and creativity beyond client ideas in brainstorms and when developing campaigns
Financial
• Develops estimates and billing timelines, and manages client invoicing according to schedule
• Raises purchase orders and tracks supplier costs
• Updates time and costs on finance trackers and is knowledgeable on the status of all finances, including timesheet management and final project reconciliation
• Provides financial admin support
New business
• Develops opportunities for growing existing business within current client pool
• Participates in developing new business pitches

• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
• Ensures understanding and implementation of all agency processes and quality standards
• Builds understanding of all relevant codes of practice and legislation
• Behavioural background, as well as life sciences/medical sciences background, is a great benefit

Package
Up to £50,000 per annum
