The role sits within the commisioning team and is an outward facing role where you will be dealing with members of the scientific community.
Company Information
One of our key medical publishing clients are now seeking a Senior Editor for their commissioning team.
The company is an independent medical and scientific publisher who are great at embracing innovation and early to adopt new methods.
They are 20 minutes from Central London and on the Northern Line. The area surrounding the office has plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants.
Role Requirements
” Journal and article content development
” Editorial Board and Subject Experts – relationship building and management
” Journal management (24-30 issues minimum or equivalent)
” Assist the Editorial Director with reports and admin as needed
” Quality control
” Social media
” Departmental goals & company projects
” Staff development & recruitment
Person Specifications
A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a commissioning editor in a publishing company
Proficient use of ScholarOne for management of manuscripts from submission through to acceptance.
2:1 or above in a Life Science degree or other relevant discipline
Package
£3k PA personal travel allowance for commuting paid monthly with salary.
NB – this role would be full time in the office due to its nature.
