They perform a wide range of routine medical tests in their laboratory as well as specialised tests with their partners which are accredited laboratories around the UK and are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Laboratory Technician to join our team.
Role Requirements
– Conduct a diverse range of intricate laboratory tests, procedures, and examinations following established protocols and guidelines.
– Supervise the implementation and maintenance of quality control and assurance measures to guarantee precise and dependable outcomes.
– Interpret and analyse data, pinpoint anomalies or incongruities, and collaborate with relevant teams to address any identified issues.
– Recognize chances for optimizing processes and contribute to the advancement of new methodologies or techniques for heightened efficiency and precision.
– Offer guidance and instruction to less experienced laboratory staff, ensuring their comprehension of protocols, safety precautions, and optimal procedures.
– Monitor and handle the inventory of laboratory supplies, reagents, and materials, ensuring their availability for ongoing operational needs.
Person Specifications
– Possession of a bachelor’s degree in a pertinent scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry) or comparable practical experience.
– Demonstrated track record in a Medical Laboratory environment, with at least 3 years of hands-on involvement.
– Thorough comprehension of laboratory protocols, methodologies, and operational aspects of equipment.
– Knowledge of quality control and assurance protocols within the laboratory domain.
– Adeptness in data analysis and interpretation, showcasing exceptional attention to precise details.
– Competence in utilizing laboratory software and tools for efficient data management and analysis.
