Technical Sales Specialist
Role Overview
This is a hands-on commercial role focused on winning, onboarding, and retaining customers across our microbial genome sequencing services. You’ll drive inbound and outbound sales, manage the sales pipeline, support new service launches, and build long-term client relationships. Working closely with technical and key account teams, you’ll turn customer needs into solutions, and satisfied clients into loyal partners.

Role Requirements
– Drive inbound and outbound sales, converting enquiries into revenue
– Own and manage the sales pipeline, from lead generation to conversion
– Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, managing onboarding and ongoing service needs
– Confidently discuss technical sequencing requirements, involving technical teams where needed
– Identify and win tenders and contract opportunities, supporting handover to key accounts
– Support new service development, product launches, and competitive positioning
– Create and contribute to technical marketing content and represent the business at events
Person Specifications
– Strong working knowledge of microbial genome sequencing
– Excellent technical communication skills with a customer-first mindset
– Commercially savvy, with strong analytical, planning, and presentation skills
– High attention to detail and a proven ability to build lasting client relationships
