Carmat Introduces Innovative Software Upgrade for their Synthetic Heart

Aeson, the synthetic heart manufactured by Carmat has introduced a novel software upgrade. Carmat is a French healthcare technology firm, who focus on creating innovative solutions for individuals with heart failure. 

Through this enhancement, the artificial heart’s software can be activated to identify potential abnormalities and adapt its control mechanisms.  

These modifications have been created and evaluated by Carmat’s scientists. At first, only patients who presently have the heart implant will receive the software improvement. 

Stéphane Piat, the leading executive at Carmat, commented, “From now on, for many of the potential malfunctions linked to the prosthesis’s electronic components, Aeson software will automatically ‘correct’ these faults by adapting the prosthesis’s performance in an appropriate manner, so that the patient’s support remains unaffected.”
