Osstem TS SOI Implant Grows in Central Europe Markets

4th August 2026

Osstem Implant, the Seoul-based dental implant manufacturer, is reporting sharp growth for its TS SOI implant system across Central and Eastern Europe, with sales projected to grow at a compound annual rate of approximately 48% between 2023 and 2026 across 16 European markets. Reported on 3 August 2026, the milestone underlines the mainland European expansion of a Korean-manufactured system positioned around primary stability and early osseointegration.

The TS SOI implant system, first introduced in Europe in November 2021, combines Osstem’s SOI super-hydrophilic surface technology with a self-tapping, dual-thread body design. The SOI surface is engineered to allow blood to spread rapidly across the implant, supporting early blood clot formation and osteoblast attachment during healing and positioned as promoting early osseointegration. The self-tapping design, dual thread and optimised body geometry increase engagement with surrounding bone during placement and improve load distribution. The system is used in sites with compromised bone quality and in immediate or early loading scenarios, subject to the applicable instructions for use.

The 48% CAGR forecast spans 16 European markets: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. The market spread underlines Osstem’s strategy of Central, Eastern and South-Eastern European share capture ahead of any push into higher-priced Western European tier-one markets. Osstem is Asia’s largest dental implant manufacturer and one of the top three globally by unit volume, competing with Straumann Group, Envista (Nobel Biocare), Dentsply Sirona (Astra Tech), Zimmer Biomet, MegaGen and Dentium across the European implant market.

The commercial signal is a Central and Eastern European implant market rapidly stratifying between premium Swiss and German incumbents and value-focused Asian manufacturers. Osstem’s TS SOI momentum will pressure both mid-market and premium players on price, service and clinical positioning. Expect Straumann, Envista and Dentsply Sirona to sharpen their own CEE distribution and education programmes through the rest of 2026 and 2027.
