Siemens Healthineers Announces Fast Track Diagnostic Facility Closure

Siemens Healthineers has disclosed its plan to shut down its Fast Track Diagnostics division by September this year. The organsiation stated that the division constitutes a fraction of the total revenue generated by the company’s diagnostics sector.  

The announcement comes after a notable decline in demand for tests from the Fast Track portfolio since the peak of the coronavirus pandemic.  

Around 90 staff members, primarily situated in Luxembourg, will be impacted by the termination of the division.  

Siemens highlighted that it is in discussions with regional employee representatives, adhering to local labor regulations as per customary company procedure.
