Role Overview
The Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and developing strong customer partnerships across the London territory. The role combines management of existing NHS accounts with the identification and development of new opportunities, while promoting a full portfolio of histology and diagnostics solutions. The position sits within the UK & Ireland South sales team and reports to the Regional Sales Manager, South UK.

Our client is a global leader in cancer diagnostics, specialising in histology and digital pathology solutions that support accurate diagnosis and improved patient outcomes. They are seeking an experienced IVD Account Manager to join their commercial team, responsible for driving growth and developing strong customer partnerships across a defined territory.
Role Requirements
-Deliver revenue and market share targets across a defined territory
-Manage and grow existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities
-Develop and execute account plans based on customer and end-user needs
-Build strong relationships with key clinical and procurement stakeholders
-Lead tender activity and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecasts
-Represent the company at customer meetings, exhibitions, and industry events
Person Specifications
-Proven sales or account management experience, ideally within a clinical or healthcare environment
-Strong track record of selling into NHS clinical accounts and achieving targets
-Ability to assess customer needs and position appropriate solutions
-Valid UK driving licence
-Knowledge of histology or cellular pathology workflows (Desirable)
Package
-Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 depending on experience
-Bonus: 25% annual bonus (paid monthly); additional incentives for overachievement and multi-year deals
