Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
You will provide technical support, maintenance, repair and training across a range of laboratory and IT-based equipment.

Role Requirements
Carry out repairs, maintenance, and preventative servicing to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
Provide first-line IT and technical telephone support for integrated customer systems.
Communicate professionally with laboratory staff, keeping customers informed throughout service activities.
Complete accurate service documentation, including fault reports and follow-up actions.
Deliver customer training on proper product use and care while maintaining company vehicle, tools, and IT equipment to a high standard.
Undertake structured UK and international technical training and collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge, resolve issues, and support sales initiatives.
Person Specifications
Full UK driving licence.
HND (or HNC with relevant experience) in electronic or mechanical engineering.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic principles.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams.
Confident communicator with excellent customer focus.
Flexible with willingness to travel across Scotland and occasionally the wider UK & Ireland.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
Experience providing IT support as part of a wider solution.
Degree in electronic/mechanical engineering.
Experience with haematology or similar laboratory instrumentation.
