Hybrid Engineer
Role Overview
This role focuses on the build, testing, calibration, and support of endoscopy-related medical devices, ensuring systems are delivered on time and perform reliably in clinical environments. You will work to defined build schedules while maintaining a strong focus on quality, validation, and system performance.
The position combines in-house assembly and testing with occasional site visits to diagnose and resolve equipment issues. You will play a hands-on role in ensuring devices meet required standards before deployment, while also contributing to ongoing product improvement.

Role Requirements
Build and assemble medical devices to agreed timelines, ensuring alignment with sales and delivery schedules.
Carry out in-house testing and final validation of systems under the guidance of the Line Manager.
Inspect completed products to ensure they meet defined quality and performance standards.
Perform calibration of assembled equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in use.
Maintain appropriate stock levels of components required for build and service activities.
Attend customer sites to diagnose equipment faults and support resolution, while contributing to team activities and new product development.
Person Specifications
Previous knowledge and experience of mechanical assembly and some electrical panel wiring.
Previous experience in a maintenance environment, ideally.
City & Guilds Level 2 or an equivalent qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
A genuine interest in working with others, with the ability to communicate in a professional and approachable manner.
Package
Base salary up to £35k.
Company van (can be used for personal use).
Private Healthcare.
3% matched pension.
No on call.
Voluntary weekend work, £280 flat rate per day.
