Hybrid Engineer

Decontamination
Stoke-on-Trent

This role focuses on the build, testing, calibration, and support of endoscopy-related medical devices, ensuring systems are delivered on time and perform reliably in clinical environments. You will work to defined build schedules while maintaining a strong focus on quality, validation, and system performance.

The position combines in-house assembly and testing with occasional site visits to diagnose and resolve equipment issues. You will play a hands-on role in ensuring devices meet required standards before deployment, while also contributing to ongoing product improvement.

Company Information

Our client is a market-leading organisation within the medical device sector, specialising in endoscopy and high-level disinfection solutions. Their systems are used across healthcare settings to support safe and effective clinical procedures, with a direct impact on patient care.

The culture is built around quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Engineering teams work in a structured environment with clear processes, focusing on delivering reliable, well-tested systems rather than reactive fixes. There is a strong emphasis on collaboration, practical problem-solving, and maintaining high standards across both product build and service support.

Person Specifications

Previous knowledge and experience of mechanical assembly and some electrical panel wiring.
Previous experience in a maintenance environment, ideally.
City & Guilds Level 2 or an equivalent qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
A genuine interest in working with others, with the ability to communicate in a professional and approachable manner.

Voluntary weekend work, £280 flat rate per day.

If you are an engineer who takes pride in building and maintaining reliable medical devices, with a focus on quality, structured processes, and continuous improvement, we encourage you to apply.
