Role Overview

This is a field-based Sales Specialist role responsible for managing and growing a well-established veterinary territory, representing two respected product portfolios across independent veterinary practices and corporate groups.

Combining account management and new business development, you will build lasting relationships with veterinary professionals, identify opportunities to drive product adoption, and support customers with solutions that contribute to practice efficiency and animal care outcomes.

Role Requirements

Manage and develop a large veterinary territory, taking ownership of customer relationships, territory planning, and sales activity.
Build long-term partnerships with veterinary surgeons, nurses, and key practice decision-makers through regular in-person and virtual engagement.
Develop and execute structured territory plans to achieve commercial objectives and drive sustainable sales growth.
Deliver product demonstrations, educational sessions, and training to support customer understanding and product adoption.
Identify new business opportunities through customer insights, territory analysis, and market awareness.
Collaborate with internal teams to support campaigns, product launches, portfolio growth opportunities, and wider commercial initiatives.

Person Specifications

Proven field sales experience within the veterinary or animal health sector.
Strong commercial awareness with a track record of delivering sales objectives.
Experience managing a geographical territory independently and effectively.
Excellent relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
Comfortable using CRM systems and interpreting sales and customer data.
Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage priorities across a large territory.
Experience with own-label or private-label products would be advantageous.
Degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Business, or a related discipline is desirable.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
