Role Overview
Purpose of the role:
To coordinate and manage technical sales enquiries for our customers, project proposals and provide administrative and technical support to our Business Managers and Customer Service team.

We’re working with a customised enzyme discovery, development and manufacturing company who work with a range of top blue chip food companies to help them solve process problems during production!
Role Requirements
Key result areas:
– Enzyme Development & Manufacturing (EDM) Proposal turnaround within 5 days & Quotes within 24 hours
– Enquiry turnaround within target time
– Conversion of EDM proposals to won projects
– Accurate reporting of EDM sector financials
– Managing the scheduling of fermentation requirements of customers’ project
Key Activities:
– Writing project proposals and preparing product quotations
– Respond to and manage technical sales enquiries for our non-strategic customers within target time
– Completion of global customer regulatory and food safety questionnaire enquiries with target time
– Sales forecasting
– Management of the Enzyme Development project pipeline
– Liaise with and provide administrative support to Business Managers
– Build strong relationships, deliver excellent customer service through verbal and written communication
– Co-ordination of CDA’s
– Process sample and lab work requests
– Collating and reporting metrics
– Carry out the responsibilities stated in the Managing Director’s Health & Safety Policy detailed in paragraphs 9 and 10 of his Management Directive
– Carry out the responsibilities stated in the Environmental Management System (EMS) Manual and its supporting documents

Person Specifications
Need to know:
– Science degree or equivalent
– Technical product and regulatory knowledge
– IT skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
– Sage CRM
Qualifications/Education/Training:
– Science degree or equivalent
– Customer Service, Business Administration or Sales/Marketing qualification is desirable but not essential

Base salary up to £28,000 depending on experience
