While their core market lies within the highly regulated pharmaceutical sector, their equipment and capabilities are also in demand across laboratory research, development settings, and high-end cosmetic manufacturing. Working exclusively with three Italian manufacturers, they represent global leaders in the production of equipment for sterilisation, washing, bio-decontamination, mixing, and clean utility generation.

Role Requirements

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Engineer to join our client’s expanding team. Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, this role supports both internal and external stakeholders and works closely with the Field Operations and Parts & Logistics teams.
This is a customer-facing position that is vital in maintaining and enhancing our client’s reputation as a trusted, high-performing, and technically proficient business. The successful candidate will play a hands-on role in technical support, equipment maintenance, and service operations while gaining valuable experience across multiple areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
· Perform technical and administrative tasks as instructed by the Technical Support Manager
· Provide practical on-site support to engineers in the field
· Under guidance, perform basic servicing, calibration, and information gathering activities on customer sites
· Manage the day-to-day care of company site work equipment, including:
o Receiving and preparing items for shipping
o Performing inspections, safety checks, and cleaning
o Carrying out basic repairs and identifying the need for replacement parts or recalibration
· Keep the site work equipment register up to date and liaise with administrators and job owners to ensure tools and equipment are ready and available for site use
· Provide cover for the technical helpdesk when requested
· Assist in the creation of risk assessments and method statements in support of site work activities
· Proactively contribute to the daily upkeep of the Technical Centre, including:
o Monitoring the condition and operation of equipment
o Preparing for engineering and testing works
o Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the workspace
· Offer flexible support across other areas of the business to enhance knowledge, capability, and career development

Person Specifications

Essential
· Valid UK driving licence
· Flexibility to travel throughout the UK, Ireland, and Italy as required
· Understanding of basic controls technology, mechanical engineering, and/or electrical engineering
· Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication skills
· Strong time management and organisational skills
· Proficient in commonly used computer programs, including:
o MS Windows
o MS Word
o MS Excel
· Personable and well presented
· Demonstrates a keen interest in technology and engineering

Desirable (Not Essential)
· Engineering, technology, or science qualification (Level 4, HND or equivalent)
· Knowledge of sterile process technology and the pharmaceutical industry
o Practical knowledge is as important as theoretical understanding
· Working experience with CAD packages

Package

· Salary up to £30-35K
· Door-to-door pay once training is completed
· Overnight allowance (Compounds for longer trips)
· Bonus/Commission – (Company performance based – been achievable for last 4 years)
· Annual leave – unconfirmed
· Company Vehicle: While training you would use your won car for office commutes, pool vehicle for field travel. Toyota Corolla after training completed.
· Laptop/Mobile Phone
· Training offered (City & Guilds)
· 38 hours per week
