Product Application Specialist
Role Overview
The focus of the role is hands-on scientific support rather than routine customer service. You will act as a technical partner to laboratory professionals, helping them troubleshoot issues, optimise workflows, and confidently apply diagnostic technologies in day-to-day use. Role Requirements
Provide on-site application support to customers, including user training, method support, and structured troubleshooting of diagnostic and analytical systems.
Act as a technical interface between customers and internal teams, working alongside sales and marketing colleagues while maintaining a clear scientific focus.
Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations in laboratory and clinical settings, tailored to the audience’s level of expertise.
Maintain in-depth, practical knowledge of the product portfolio to support credible peer-to-peer discussions with laboratory scientists.
Capture and relay customer feedback on product performance and application challenges to support ongoing product development and improvement.
Person Specifications
Experience working as a Field Application Specialist within Blood Sciences, Biochemistry, or Immunology.
Alternatively, hands-on experience as a Biomedical Scientist in Blood Sciences, Biochemistry, or Immunology.
Full UK driving licence.
Based in the South of the UK, ideally within reach of Oxford or Cambridge.
Good standard of spoken and written English.
