As a Project Director, we are looking for someone who can apply broad medical communications and strategic knowledge (from prior experience working for different clients, across multiple therapy areas and different project types) in day-to-day project work while advising clients and leading teams
In addition, you will work with senior scientific team members and the Senior Management Team to ensure that all work is delivered to the highest standard and fully meets client expectations
As part of the role you will develop, review and challenge briefs for other team members based on project and client requirements while providing strategic review, insights and guidance across outputs; suggest new projects that address client- or product-specific strategic needs
Role Requirements
In partnership with scientific lead, establish and oversee account team structure and processes to enable team to work with autonomy; share feedback and seek personal development opportunities for team members
Work with Finance and Senior Management Team to forecast resource requirements across workstreams and/or accounts, develop and review account resource plans, and identify account recruitment and freelance needs
Participate in interviews for potential new candidates, as required; suggest suitable account-specific interview presentation/task topics
Line-manage and mentor junior team members according to Helios processes
Be a positive role model (including work ethic, attitudes and behaviours) for colleagues; reinforce the company ethos ‘be a great place to work’ and ‘aim for excellence’ in all external and internal interactions
Person Specifications
Degree (minimum BSc/BA in any subject; preference:business management or
related disciplines
Project management or strategic delivery experience in a client-facing
role within a medical communications agency
(minimum 8 years’ experience)
Line management experience (>5 years) within a medical
communications agency
Experience of working at a senior account team level with critical
decision-making experience
