Role Overview
This role is in the company’s rapid bio-decontamination service (“RBDS”) and it is exactly that – a service operated by highly trained engineers giving customers the ability to decontaminate any room or building. originally focused in the pharmaceutical market, this technology is now used in biotechnology, biomedical, bio-defence, military and, of course, healthcare where it is used to eradicate “superbugs” from hospitals. With the emergence of new hospital bugs and changes in European legislation on decontamination products RBDS is expanding to cope with demand and ensure the continuation of excellent customer service. Role Requirements
Joining the team as a decontamination technician you will be given full and extensive training on all aspects of our equipment and service ensuring that you are capable of delivering the decontamination service to our high standards (both of safety and customer service).
upon completion of the training period you will become part of a team working under the decontamination service manager performing large RBDS deployments; after a shadowing period you will take control of project planning, management and service delivery.
You will be expected to develop a keen understanding of decontamination methods in order to provide support to both front line and back office processes. The selected candidate will also take a leading role in the management of a small team of apprentice level employees.
With global demand for our services growing the successful candidate will also enjoy worldwide travel and develop close working relationships with the companies international subsidiaries and distributors.
Person Specifications
Full driving licence and valid passport are essential.
Willingness to travel between sites in Guildford & Portsmouth, as well as working every other weekend.
Experience in commissioning & validation procedures is important, although specific experience of bio-decontamination equipment and systems is not essential (comprehensive training will be given).
A minimum of 5 years’ multi-skilled experience of mechanical, electrical/controls or process systems.
Ability to document work completion to GMP standards.
A systematic and logical approach to problem solving & ensuring a high level of customer service is delivered.
