Applications Specialist
Role Overview
You will provide hands-on application support to customers across the UK, delivering training, troubleshooting, and technical expertise both on-site and remotely, while supporting implementations, product launches, and sales activities.

Role Requirements
Deliver exceptional application support to customers across the UK, providing on-site and remote troubleshooting, complaint management, and technical expertise, with occasional international support.
Support new customer implementations, system upgrades, and assay launches, including delivering training, presentations, and product demonstrations.
Actively assist sales activities such as tenders, exhibitions, and customer meetings, collaborating with Sales, Service, Marketing, and Customer Support to ensure a seamless experience.
Contribute to workflow optimisation, validation, and verification activities while building strong relationships with customers, key opinion leaders, and internal stakeholders.
Log activities accurately, work to defined KPIs, and stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
Travel extensively across the South UK, with occasional UK & Ireland travel, overnight stays, weekend work, and participation in regional and international meetings.
Person Specifications
A degree (or higher) in a Life Science or related discipline.
Experience in an Application Specialist, Product Specialist, or Customer Support role (diagnostics environment).
Strong interest or experience in Immunoassay and Molecular diagnostics.
Confident communicator who can engage effectively with customers and internal teams.
Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Comfortable working independently and coping under pressure.
Strong IT skills; experience with Laboratory Information Systems is an advantage.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
