Role Overview

Location: Benelux (remote, with occasional travel across Europe)

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving commercial growth across Europe by helping biopharma organisations adopt innovative protein analysis technologies. This is a highly consultative role, focused on building scientific partnerships, developing new business opportunities, and supporting customers throughout the evaluation and adoption process.

Company Information

Zenopa is partnering with an innovative scientific technology company that is transforming how biopharma researchers analyse proteins throughout biologic drug development. Their platform enables rapid analysis of antibody titre, aggregates, and charge variants using existing LC systems and a straightforward consumable-based approach, helping laboratories generate actionable data while reducing workflow complexity.

As an early-stage organisation, they combine scientific excellence with an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture where ideas are encouraged, initiative is valued, and individuals have genuine influence on commercial strategy. Employees work closely with experienced scientists, innovators, and commercial leaders, contributing directly to the growth and adoption of a differentiated technology across the European biopharmaceutical market.

Role Requirements

Develop and secure new business opportunities across Europe by leveraging market knowledge, scientific expertise, and industry relationships.

Build trusted partnerships with scientists, laboratory leaders, procurement teams, distributors, strategic partners, and decision-makers within biopharma and antibody research organisations.

Expand strategic accounts by driving adoption within individual laboratories and supporting broader implementation across departments, sites, and international teams.

Manage opportunities through the full commercial cycle, from initial engagement and evaluation through to commercial adoption.

Represent the business at scientific conferences, exhibitions, customer meetings, and industry events, delivering both technical and commercial presentations.

Work closely with distributors, channel partners, and the Field Application Scientist while gathering customer insights and market intelligence to support commercial strategy and product positioning.

Person Specifications

MSc or PhD in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Analytical Sciences, or a related discipline (or a BSc with significant relevant industry experience).

Practical experience with modern antibody development workflows, technologies, and terminology gained through laboratory or closely related commercial experience.

Strong understanding of antibody research, biopharmaceutical development, and associated analytical workflows.

Proven ability to generate and convert new business opportunities within life sciences, biopharma, or analytical technology markets.

An existing professional network that can help create introductions and accelerate commercial opportunities.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both scientific and commercial audiences.

Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to establish credibility quickly with customers, distributors, and colleagues.

Self-motivated, commercially driven, and comfortable working independently while maintaining momentum and accountability.

Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline development, customer interactions, and account growth.

Fluent English (minimum CEFR B2) and willingness to travel regularly throughout Europe.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years’ experience in business development, technical sales, field applications, or a related commercial role.

Fluency in at least one additional European language.

An established profile within the antibody research or biopharma community through publications, conference presentations, industry engagement, or networking.

Experience working for a scientific instrumentation, analytical technology, or consumables company.

Previous success supporting distributors, channel partners, or multinational customer accounts.

Formal sales training or experience working within a structured sales methodology.

Knowledge of protein analytics, antibody characterisation, or broader biopharma analytical workflows.
