An opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading healthcare technology organisation, supporting digital X-ray and mammography systems. This is a regional role covering the South West along the M4 corridor, offering a strong work-life balance with minimal overnight stays. Role Requirements
• Service, maintain and repair digital X-ray (CR/DR) and mammography equipment
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with service contracts
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and system faults
• Support installations, upgrades and commissioning of equipment
• Work closely with internal teams including applications and sales
• Provide high levels of customer support across NHS and private healthcare sites
• Maintain accurate service records and manage spare parts stock
• Ensure compliance with all health & safety and regulatory standards
Person Specifications
• Previous field service engineering experience (healthcare desirable)
• Experience working with X-ray systems OR strong electrical/electro-mechanical background (e.g. ex-military)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
• Basic IT/networking knowledge (Windows environments beneficial)
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Flexible approach to occasional out-of-hours or installation work
• Full UK driving licence
Package
• Salary up to £45,000 (reviewed annually)
• 10% performance bonus
