Sales & Application Specialist
Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially driven Sales & Application Specialist to support the growth of our client’s Infectious Disease and Molecular Diagnostics portfolio across North UK. This is a consultative role that combines business development with scientific applications support, helping laboratories adopt diagnostic solutions that support accurate and efficient testing.
Working across NHS and private laboratory environments, you will drive instrument placements, support assay adoption, deliver customer training, and provide ongoing technical expertise throughout the customer journey.

Role Requirements
Drive growth of the Infectious Disease and Molecular Diagnostics portfolio across North UK, identifying opportunities to expand instrument placements and assay adoption.
Provide technical support throughout the customer lifecycle, including installations, demonstrations, training, and troubleshooting within clinical laboratory environments.
Develop and maintain strong knowledge of the product portfolio, diagnostic applications, and market developments.
Support tender submissions, product evaluations, and reagent rental opportunities across the territory.
Build and maintain strong relationships with laboratory professionals and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted scientific partner.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customers receive effective technical, commercial, and applications support.
Person Specifications
Background in microbiology, virology, or infectious disease diagnostics within NHS or commercial diagnostics environments.
Essential: Hands-on RT-PCR experience within infectious disease testing.
Desirable: Experience with molecular diagnostics, NGS, or diagnostic instrumentation.
Willingness to travel across the North of England and Scotland approximately three days per week.
