Workshop Engineer – Bedford
Join a global healthcare technology leader specialising in advanced medical imaging and diagnostic solutions, including X-ray, ultrasound and in vitro diagnostics. Based in Bedford, this hands-on role offers excellent manufacturer training and a clear pathway into field service.
– Pre-stage, configure and test X-ray, ultrasound and diagnostic equipment.
– Configure PCs, networks and third-party integrations.
– Perform software testing and image quality checks.
– Diagnose hardware, software and network faults.
– Maintain, repair and upgrade demo/loan equipment.
– Support new product testing and field service teams.
– Complete QA, validation and build documentation to ISO 13485/9001 standards.

– HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering, IT, Networking or equivalent (CCNA/CompTIA advantageous).
– 2+ years’ hands-on technical experience.
– Strong PC, Windows 10/11 and networking skills.
– Practical engineering and fault-finding ability.
– IT, AV, systems integration, EBME/medical engineering or military communications experience desirable.
– Organised, self-motivated and a clear communicator.
– Full UK driving licence and within 1 hour of Bedford.

£35k + 10% bonus, 6% pension, private medical, life assurance, 26 days + bank holidays, Mon–Fri, and UK/international manufacturer training.
