Role Overview
A great opportunity to join a scientific company that sell specialist HPLC, LCMS, GC AND GCMS instrumentation, consumables and service contracts to academic, research, food, environmental and pharmaceutical laboratories.
PRODUCTS: Chromatography Mass Spectrometry and HPLC consumables and equipment
TERRITORY: South-West UK
CUSTOMERS: Academic, Research, Food, Environmental, Pharmaceutical Laboratories
This position is field-based travelling to customer sites regularly
Role Requirements
– Achieve revenue targets via maintaining current accounts and developing new business opportunities.
– Visiting customers to build, develop and strengthen relationships.
– Prepare customer quotations
– Organise mini-exhibitions to gain new customers.
– Participate in tender preparations and pitches to win new business.
– Put together a business strategy to ensure that the region is effectively managed.
– Successfully renew existing service contracts and keep existing business through relationship building
– Ensure excellent communication between the sales and service team.
– Maintain excellent market, industry and product knowledge.
Person Specifications
A degree or equivalent in a Science discipline.
Successful candidates will possess scientific sales experience and a solid understanding of chromatography and mass spec OR have post-degree experience working in an analytical laboratory, keen to move into a commercial scientific technical sales role!
Knowledge of HPLC/GC/MS is essential due to the technical nature of the sales process.
