£28,000 - £45,000

Role Overview

This is a dual engineering role spanning technical support, preventative maintenance, and breakdown response within a veterinary imaging environment. The position requires two days in the office, with travel across the UK and Europe to support installed systems.

You will work directly with veterinary customers to ensure imaging systems remain reliable, accurate, and available for clinical use. The role combines hands-on fault resolution with ongoing system optimisation, contributing to consistent performance in practices where imaging plays a critical role in animal diagnosis and care.

Company Information

Our client is a specialist provider of veterinary imaging technology, focused on developing systems designed specifically for animal health applications. With an established presence in the market, the organisation supports veterinary professionals through advanced imaging solutions used in both equine and small animal care.

The culture is grounded in care, collaboration, and practical problem-solving. Teams work closely with veterinary customers, combining engineering expertise with an understanding of clinical environments. There is a strong emphasis on doing work thoroughly, supporting colleagues and customers, and continuously improving how systems perform in real-world settings.

Role Requirements

Diagnose potential system faults through structured discussions with customers, using remote insight to guide next steps.
Plan and coordinate service visits, working with account managers to ensure timely and practical scheduling.
Attend customer sites to carry out detailed fault diagnosis and resolve both emergency and non-routine technical issues.
Work closely with the wider Customer Success Team to resolve complex issues, including joint activities such as system calibration.
Complete routine maintenance visits in line with service agreements, ensuring all hardware continues to operate at optimal performance levels.
Monitor system performance, carry out upgrades, and maintain accurate service records to support effective communication and continuous improvement.

Person Specifications

A working approach aligned to values of care, accountability, and attention to detail.
Ability to build and maintain respectful, professional relationships with customers and colleagues.
A curious and problem-solving mindset, with an interest in understanding how systems perform in clinical environments.
A practical and reliable approach to delivering work, with a focus on completing tasks thoroughly and correctly.
Comfort working both independently and as part of a wider team to resolve technical challenges.

Package

25 days holiday plus 1 additional day, plus bank holidays, increasing with long service.
Statutory pension.

If you are an engineer who values reliability, practical problem-solving, and working closely with customers to support the effective use of veterinary imaging systems, we encourage you to apply.

Unless stated otherwise, candidates applying for UK-based positions must already be authorised to work in the UK.
