Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team to manage the South UK Region. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services for our products at customer sites. Your primary goal will be to ensure the smooth operation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of our products while delivering exceptional customer service. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Role Requirements
· Travel to customer sites to inspect (PPM), repair, and maintain our products.
· Conduct equipment inspections, diagnose malfunctions, and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
· Provide technical assistance and support to customers in person, via phone/email or via Video Call (MS Teams or FaceTime), addressing their enquiries and resolving technical issues effectively.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient resolution of technical problems.
· Perform routine maintenance and calibration on equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns in line with our Service Contract T’s&C’s.
· Create detailed service reports, documenting all activities, repairs, and replacements performed.
· Train customers on the proper use and maintenance of our products, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the equipment’s functionality and safety procedures.
· Stay up to date with product knowledge, industry trends, and technological advancements through continuous learning and professional development.
Person Specifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
· Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer.
· Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, as well as troubleshooting and repair techniques.
· Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, equipment, and software applications.
· Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
· Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships with customers and provide exceptional service.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
· Flexibility to travel frequently and work independently at customer sites, often in different locations.
· Valid driver’s license and willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
